New Year’s Eve is all about metallic colors, bright lips and healthy skin, according to Simancas. “I prefer simple and soft, and steer my clients away from heavy contouring and highlights,” he says.

After removing the mask, follow it up with ElizabethArden Ceramide Capsules. Chanel Hydra Beauty Nourishing Lipcare does wonders to retain the lips’ moisture in the winter months with its hydrating Camelia Oil.

For Your Skin

New Years Eve Beauty Tips To Make You Sparkle

For The Eyes

Simancas suggests applying a neutral shadow to the crease of the eyes.   Try one of the shades in Tarte’s Tartelette in BloomClay Eyeshadow Palette. Then apply a light simmer shadow all over lid, such as Funny Girl, also in the Tartelette Palette. Next, it’s time to apply a darker, metallic shadow to the outer corners and the lower lash line to add dimension. The Firecracker shade in the palette is perfect for this. He then uses a darker brown or black as a liner to blend it. To open up the eyes, he uses SephoraCollection’s Long Lasting Kohl Pencil in Infinite Beige on the inner corners and water line. To complete the eyes, he applies Diorshow Mascara in 090 Pro Black. One final eye tip: don’t forget to curl the lashes before. And for added eyelash umph? Individual false lashes can be applied from the middle out to give the appearance of a cat-eye effect.

For The Cheeks

Simancas applies Nars Desire Blush to the cheekbones.

For The Lips

Simancas colors the lips with YSL Rouge Volute Shine  #50, FuschiaStiletto.  He adds that any bright color will work, such as red, or even orange, if you dare to go even bolder.
